I have played millions of rounds of chemin de fer. I started working my way into the gambling halls when I was still underage. I have played online chemin de fer, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a short time. Given all that I have still spent a lot of cash at 21. The gambling halls have made it very hard to beat the house.

I still enjoy the game and gamble on a regular basis. Over the years I have enjoyed a variation of 21 called "The Take it Leave it Method". You won't get flush with this tactic or defeat the casino, still you will experience a lot of fun. This tactic is founded on the fact that 21 appears to be a match of runs. When you're hot your on fire, and when you're not you are NOT!

I play basic strategy vingt-et-un. When I don't win I wager the table minimum on the next hand. If I do not win again I wager the lowest amount allowed on the successive hand again etc. As soon as I hit I take the winnings paid to me and I wager the original wager again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I win again I take the payout paid to me, and if I win the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original bet. I continue wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I do not win I lower the action back down to the original amount.

I am very strict and never "chicken out". It gets extremely fun at times. If you win a few hands in series your wagers go up very quickly. Before you realize it you are wagering $100-200per hand. I have had fantastic runs a couple of times now. I departed a $5 table at the Palms a number of years ago with $750 after 30 mins using this tactic! And a few weeks ago in Sin City I left a game with $1200!

You must understand that you can lose much faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more enjoyable. And you will be aghast at the streaks you see betting this way. Below is a chart of what you would wager if you continue winning at a $5 table.

Wager five dollar
Take five dollar paid to you, leave the original 5 dollar wager

Bet 5 dollar
Leave 5 dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of ten dollar

Bet ten dollar
Take ten dollar paid to you, leave the first $10 bet

Wager 10 dollar
Leave ten dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of 20 dollar

Wager $20
Take twenty dollar paid to you, leave the initial 20 dollar wager

Bet twenty dollar
Leave 20 dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of $40

Wager forty dollar
Take forty dollar paid-out to you, leave the original 40 dollar bet

Wager $40
Leave $40 paid to you for a total wager of 80 dollar

Wager $80
Take $80 paid to you, leave the initial $80 wager

Bet 80 dollar
Leave 80 dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of 160 dollar

Wager $160
Take $160 paid-out to you, leave the first 1 hundred and sixty dollar bet

If you departed at this instance you would be up 3 hundred and 15 dollars !!

It's hard to go on a streak this long, but it often happen. And when it does you can't alter and drop your wager or the final result won't be the same.
