black jack is a game that reminds me somewhat of a roller coaster. It's a game that starts slowly, but gradually picks up speed. As you ramp up your bankroll, you feel like you are on your way to the top of the coaster and then when you least expect it, the bottom falls out.

Blackjack is so remarkably like a roller coaster the similarities are creepy. As with the popular fairground ride, your black jack game will peak and things will seemingly be going well for a time before it bottoms out one more time. You must be a player that can readjust to the ups ... downs of the game mainly because the game of blackjack is full of them.

If you like the small coaster, a coaster that can't go too high or fast, then bet small. If you find the only way you can enjoy the roller coaster ride is with a fatter wager, then jump on for the rollercoaster ride of your life on the monster coaster. The big spender will love the view from the monster rollercoaster because they are not mentally processing the drop as they rush quickly to the top of the game.

A win goal and a loss limit works well in black jack, but very few gamblers adhere to it. In blackjack, if you "get on the rollercoaster" as it is going up, that's a lovely feeling, but when the cards "go south" and the coaster starts to toss and turn, you had better bail out in a hurry.

If you don't, you will not naturally remember how much you enjoyed life while your bankroll was "up". The only thing you will remember is a lot of uncertainties, a thrilling ride ... your head in the clouds. As you are recounting "what ifs", you won't find it easy to recollect how "high up" you went but you will naturally remember that disastrous drop as clear as day.
